4 Things Every Aging Person Must Do
As we get older we get wise. Isn't that true?
We see the world through seasoned eyes, I agree with you on that.
We also have a few tendencies we're not too thrilled about but it's the price of being here on this planet in this Universe at this time.
Physics scholars call it entropy. It has to do with the passage of time and what happens with it. One thing I learned today is that as the Universe expands its light dims.
Same with us.
As we age, our light dims. That's why it's such a benefit to be enlightened and why in many advanced cultures that's actually quite revered.
One problem health-wise that occurs as our light perhaps dims is the potential development of sugar in the blood or what we doctors call metabolic syndrome and what is can turn into type 2 Diabetes.
A lot of people have it.
Especially when they eat too much, which is easy to do, from a supply side, and from an emotional side, and from a lack of enough movement side.
Indeed, a new study says that 44 million people will have diabetes soon.
Researchers at the University of Chicago are projecting that 44 million Americans will be living with diabetes. That's nearly double the 23.7 million children and adults who currently have the disease.
The societal cost of this increase will be huge, with spending on diabetes nearly tripling from $113 billion to $336 billion. This will place an enormous burden on our health care system.
The toll on personal health will be far greater. Diabetes is a very serious condition that occurs when blood sugar levels in the body aren't right. The high blood sugar level causes small blood vessels in the body to become fragile and break, which can lead to terrible consequences.
I have seen people who are diabetic, and due to the disease, have lost their sight or limbs.
Also kidneys are at risk.
Prevention is the key to this growing problem.
Here are 4 Steps You Must Take Now:
1) Getting rid of sugar-laden foods, such as cookies, cakes, and sodas is one of the first steps. Reducing or eliminating other simple carbohydrates, such as crackers, chips, and white bread, is important too. Watching your sugar intake isn't as easy as you might think. Hundreds of everyday foods you might not think contain sugar actually do. These foods include salad dressing, ketchup, and marinara sauce.
2) Getting enough high quality exercise. That's right. Recent research reveals that it takes an hour a day of walking, or less of a slightly more intense exercise, to drive blood sugar into your cells and restore insulin balance. This is great for your brain, too.
3) You must take a very high quality Multivitamin/mineral tablet that contains Chromium. There is very good scientific evidence that chromium, such as found in my Longevity Gold Caps, can help balance blood sugar levels and help with cravings for sweets. They also have a powerful array of antioxidants for super health and extra Vit. C. A new study shows that Vitamin C is critically important in maintaining your immune system as you age. You need 4-6 of the Gold Caps every day. http://www.drdharma.com/goldcaps
4) You absolutely must reduce your stress with mediation. There are no if ands or buts. The multiple benefits you gain from meditating can not be duplicated by anything else. That's why I've kept the same low price of The Meditation Club. You need to sign up now because the price will go up soon. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. http://www.drdharma.com/meditationclub
Don't let aging get the best of you.
Let's walk this beautiful path together.
