The foundation
Twenty-eight nutrients, all working together.
The daily floor under everything else.
Every nutrient in this bottle is named, measured, and printed on the panel. Each one was chosen in the form the body takes up best, by a physician who spent thirty years studying what an aging brain runs short of first.
The choices nobody sees
He used the better form. Every time.
A mineral is only as useful as the body's ability to take it up. Every mineral in this bottle is in the form that costs more and absorbs better, and the difference lives on the production sheet where nobody thinks to look.
Magnesium
As magnesium citrateCitrate is bound to citric acid, which the body already knows how to handle. It costs several times what the cheap alternative costs, and the research consistently favors it for absorption.
Zinc
As an amino acid chelateA chelate wraps the mineral in an amino acid, the same way food presents it. The body recognises the package and takes up more of what is inside.
Selenium
As L-selenomethionineThis is selenium as it occurs in food, carried on an amino acid the body can store and use. It is the form that shows up in the literature, and it is the expensive one.
Vitamin B6
A quarter as pyridoxal-5-phosphateP5P is B6 already activated, so the body can use it directly rather than converting it first. He included a portion in that form because conversion becomes less reliable with age.
Calcium, potassium, manganese, molybdenum, and boron are all citrates as well. None of this shows on a marketing label. All of it shows on the production sheet.
The honest answer
Six capsules, because that is what the doses weigh.
A gram of vitamin C fills a capsule on its own. Two hundred milligrams of magnesium fills most of another. A full B complex, in real amounts, needs a third. Multiply by two capsules a serving and you arrive at six.
Then there is the second reason, which matters more. Water soluble vitamins clear the body within hours. Spread across three meals, the formula keeps working through the afternoon and into the evening. He built it that way in 1998, accepted the inconvenience, and never changed it.
A schematic drawing of how water soluble vitamins behave, not measured data. The principle is old and settled. What is unusual is a formula built around it.
What a brain doctor adds
Three ingredients he put in because of what he studies.
Choline
60 mgA building block the body uses to make acetylcholine, which carries signals between nerve cells. Almost every multivitamin leaves it for someone else to sell you.
Inositol
100 mgCholine's quiet companion, part of the same family of compounds the nervous system is built from. He paired them, because that is how the body uses them.
Bromelain
133 mgAn enzyme from the pineapple stem, and its whole job is to help everything else in the capsule break down. He put a digestive aid inside the multivitamin so the multivitamin would work.
Two decisions you can only see on the label
Made with your longevity in mind.
Most multivitamins carry iron because most multivitamins are made for everyone at once. A woman past menopause no longer loses iron each month, and iron accumulates with age. He formulated this one without it, on purpose, for her.
Copper follows the same reasoning, and he has written about metals and the aging brain for thirty years. Leaving something out is a decision as deliberate as putting something in. It is also invisible, which is why nobody markets it.
Free of iron and copper by design, and printed on the panel so you can confirm it.
How to take it
Two capsules, three times a day, with food.
Two capsules
Two capsules
Two capsules
This formula is complete on its own.
Take it as directed, and take it with food, because the fat soluble vitamins need a meal to be absorbed. Because Gold already supplies vitamin A and vitamin B6 in full, avoid taking it alongside another supplement that contains either one. Speak with your healthcare practitioner before use if you take any medication.
Read the panel
Twenty-eight names. Twenty-eight amounts.
Every nutrient appears on its own line with its own number, and every form is spelled out. Citrate, chelate, selenomethionine, pyridoxal-5-phosphate. He never asked anyone to take his word for it.
Questions people ask
Why six capsules?
Because that is what the doses weigh, and because water soluble vitamins clear the body within hours. Six capsules across three meals keeps the formula present through the day. A single pill would mean smaller amounts and one brief window.
Is there iron in it?
It is free of iron and free of copper, and both were left out deliberately. A woman past menopause no longer loses iron monthly, and iron accumulates with age. If your practitioner has told you to supplement iron, take it separately.
Can I take it with Brain Caps?
Yes. Gold is the ground the other four stand on. Two Gold and two Brain Caps with breakfast, two Gold with lunch, two Gold with dinner. Read the caution above, and speak with your practitioner if you take any medication.
What do citrate and chelate actually mean?
They describe what a mineral is attached to. A citrate is bound to citric acid, a chelate to an amino acid. Both present the mineral to the body the way food does, and both cost more to make than the cheap alternatives that fill most multivitamins.
