How to Succeed with Supplementation: 4 Easy Tips

Diet and supplements are an integral part of any brain health regimen. But once you get your supplements, then what?
It’s exciting to start a new regimen, but the most important effort comes from consistency. And consistency comes from setting yourself up for success.
That’s why we’ve put together 4 steps to fast track you to success:
1. Have a Plan
Pick a time to take your supplements. It’s helpful to include it as part of current habits, like taking them at meal times or during morning or bedtime routines.
Be specific– you’ll have a much better time sticking to it if you decide “I’ll take two at breakfast” instead of “I’ll take two daily.”
The general rule of thumb for Dr. Dharma’s supplements is to take them with food.
Brain, Memory, Gold, and Super Rejuvenation Caps are all ideally taken earlier in the day if possible. These supplements may boost mental or physical energy and you will receive more of their benefits if you can include them with breakfast and lunch.
Inner Healing Caps are best taken in the evening when they can better assist your body’s natural detox and repair process while you sleep.
*Important: Think about what other supplements or medications you’re taking and whether you can take them together. Consult your healthcare provider if you’re unsure.
2. Use a Pill Organizer
Using a weekly or monthly pill organizer can help you stay on track. This will also help prevent accidentally taking double doses of anything you don’t intend to.
3. Set Yourself up to Win
Keep your supplements where you can easily see and reach them when you need to take them. Whether that means keeping the bottle on your desk, or your pill organizer in the kitchen, making a designated space for your supplements keeps them front of mind and helps you stay consistent. It becomes a subtle but powerful signal for self-care that you can feel good about.
4. Accountability is Key
Whether they’re a health or wellness professional, friend, or family member, recruiting a little positive pressure can help you accomplish your goals. Ask directly to follow up with that person about your progress. If you’re asking a friend or family member, offering to hold them accountable to a goal of theirs as well can spark positive change for the both of you.
You can be accountable to yourself as well: Track progress by writing down how you feel when starting, and every two weeks after. This can help you better notice improvements and stay motivated.
